Our Purpose Our Great Lakes Chapter commits its time and resources to serving the Metro Detroit community because we want to impact lives and transform communities in ways that allow African American families to thrive. Beyond monetary donations, our chapter members roll up our sleeves and engage personally.
We are committed to the work we do because we are women who care deeply about our communities, especially those who are not yet living their best lives. We build hope. We share ourselves, our time and our resources. We help people re-imagine the possibilities of what they can be. In those things, we join our ripples to the work of other organizations in hope that we can make waves and change the world.
