On February 24, 2024, the Great Lakes Chapter of The Links, Incorporated hosted our heart health luncheon, The Red Dress Affair. We were thrilled to welcome community members to this educational event. The event was free to the community as part of our ongoing commitment to improving heart health within the African American community. With approximately 200 attendees from Metro Detroit, the luncheon provided a valuable opportunity for engagement and learning. We extend our gratitude to our Alumna Committee for their support, which allowed four Alumna members to attend at a discounted rate. The event garnered wonderful feedback from our Facebook community. Furthermore, we’re proud to announce that the Monique Parnell Phifer Healthy Living Grant was included in our 2024 philanthropic giving, supporting nonprofits that offer health and wellness programming.
